PR PASS Workshop is proud to have provided Corazón Latino with technology and assessment solutions that will help them measure the impact of their watershed stewardship training workshops. This summer, dozens of teachers gathered in El Yunque to collaborate with the team of park rangers and environmental scientists to create lessons aligned with Department of Education standards on:
- Hydrographic basins
- Water quality
- Waste management
- Watershed management
The purpose is to model watershed education experiences that can be replicated in Puerto Rican schools. The workshops were designed and delivered by Corazón Latino, a non-profit organization that seeks to generate social, environmental, and conservation initiatives that promote the care of natural resources. This effort supports the Collaborative Aquatic Landscape Restoration (CALR) project of the El Yunque National Forest (EYNF).
PR PASS Workshop developed brief registration and closing surveys, pre-tests, and post-tests on the platform: www.salonsinfronteras.com and then provided technical support to Corazón Latino to reflect on the scope of its workshops.
